Seeing Things @ Celula de Arta

The exhibition is open between 30 March - 20 April at the Celula de Arta on Bd. Carol I, no. 53.
It can be viewed from the street from the gallery window, which is why we have a non-stop program.

Matei Enric's work belongs to a larger project in 2015 in which the landscapes in the Universe are used as a motive "I imagined the rainbow on Titan, the morning on Mecur."

The work to be exposed - VORTEX - starts as an idea from the Milky Way as a vortex - a system that is absorbed into the center by a very strong gravitational pole. Basically, there is a Black Hole in the center of the Milky Way that absorbs everything around. The interesting feature of such a physical phenomenon is that, from a certain point around the black hole, time ceases to exist. And basically, all the events that took place in the vicinity remain recorded there as on a Hard Disk.

In his work, Matthew makes a parallel between two forms of memory recording - the camera (which has a vortex diaphragm) and a vortex formed by the gravitational force of a black hole. Both "mechanisms" function as a "portal" in which t
the perspective is reversed, and the viewer from the observer becomes the one observed by another person in another universe.

The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday, March 30, at 18.00.
