"Between times" represents for the artist Matei Enric a reflection on the times we live in, as a break between what was and what will be. All that means Covid and periods of isolation, our times before and the times to come. His thoughts, painted on wood or drawn on paper, stopped in these works, giving us an opportunity to look at each other, audience and artist, in a meditation on the essence of life.

"Between times" represents for the curator a small retrospective of the artist's works from different creative periods. Fragments from collections exhibited in various years, shown together to the public, in this small exhibition hall, joined by their symbolism, a unified creative thread, amazingly deep and current.

In this way, in a transition from social to solitude, colorful, massive, intellectually challenging works that arouse wonder and sometimes smile are presented, such as "Perpetuum", "The Price of Surrender", "The Scapegoat", "In Absentia", worked before the pandemic ("Solve et coagula", "Burning of All" and "Perpetuum" collections), in complete antithesis with graphic works, black and white, small, psychedelic, spiritually harsh, "Memento mori", "Social network", "The Altar", which take your breath away and absorb you in them, almost obsessively as they are viewed (they describe social alienation, send with the thought of mental illness, oppression, chaos and, at the same time, the continuous call to a source, to the core), so you have to be careful where you stop with your personal re-memory.

What is read and remains between times, is the life lived and rendered with sensitivity by the artist Matei Enric, an artist par excellence intellectual, a graduate of sacred art, which immediately captures, with irony at times, the desacralization, which even when he was overwhelmed from the loneliness imposed by social distancing, he still only partially abandoned himself, worthy of his inner conflicts, his works from this period illustrating a logical course, a growth, a rhythm, closing his experiences like a circle.

The concept of the exhibition is also rendered spatially, the works not only come from different periods but are also exhibited in different rooms, those from the period of recent pandemic suffering in a small room and she, like a pocket, as I said above, a break.

And all "are about destiny, the meaning of life, gates through which we enter and exit, the attempt to communicate with someone beyond us" (source Matei Enric).

We invite you to this exhibition that promises steps towards an unseen world and offers respite for introspection, that something we hide, but exists, about us.
